Cambridge: the Leper Chapel of St Mary Magdalene
"It is," wrote Nikolaus Pevsner, "one of the most complete and unspoilt pieces of Norman architecture in the county ... The E window was put in in the C19, after 1819, when Cotman illustrated the building. It was then a stable. Restoration by Sir George Gilbert Scott 1867". The chancel is ashlar, the nave flint and rubble. The street lights to the left are on Newmarket Road.
