Wightwick Manor
Wightwick Manor
The entrance front of this major Victorian house, the former home of the Mander family of paint fame. An impressive house by an unfamiliar architect in the Midlands, Edward Ould of Liverpool, it was built in two phases, 1887 and 1893. Wightwick was given to the National Trust in 1937, when it was just 50 years. The furnishings and collections of 19th century art are of international importance.
