Life of Pi - sand sculpture
Life of Pi - sand sculpture
This remarkable sand sculpture, representing the tiger, Richard Parker, from the novel and film 'Life of Pi', is one of a series outside the Tuned In! media and performing arts centre in Redcar. They were created as part of the 'Kick off the Summer' festival in the town that took place over the spring bank holiday weekend. They are still going strong in this view taken in July. The tiger was created by Nicola Wood from Leicester who has won awards across the world for her sculptures in snow, ice and sand. It really does look quite fierce.
