The path goes on up to King's Seat Hill. In the distance in this view lie the straths of the River Devon and then the River Forth.

The Ochils are interesting hills, cut by deep ravines like this, giving rise to fast-flowing burns which in turn justified mills at the bottom and thereby small manufacturing communities along the bottom edge - the "Hillfoot Toons".
