SK4443 : No access to Shipley Lake

taken 7 years ago, near to Shipley, Derbyshire, England

No access to Shipley Lake
No access to Shipley Lake
The lake and its surrounds were hived off from Shipley Country Park to form the Britannia (later American Adventure) Theme Park. Since the latter closed in 2007 the site is simply becoming overgrown. The lake originated as a reservoir for the Nutbrook Canal which served the Shipley Collieries.
