MV Claymore did the Oban/Tobermory/Coll/Tiree/Lochboisdale route until it was withdrawn from service in 1975. After that time the Oban/Coll/Tiree/Outer Hebrides Ro-Ro ferry no longer called at Tobermory.

The vessel arrived around 8 am on its trip outward from Oban.

MV Claymore was a popular name for a CalMac ferry. This vessel entered service in 1955. The next Claymore served MacBrayne from 1979 to 1997.
