The Fritton Owl Sanctuary
The Fritton Owl Sanctuary
The Fritton Owl Sanctuary is located on the premises of the Fritton (Myhills) Plant Centre > LinkExternal link in Fritton near Great Yarmouth. It was opened by Mark Weston and Louise Thorpe with the aim to care for unwanted and injured owls, and the rehabilitation, if possible, of native owls in order to release them back into the wild. Each enclosure has written details about its inhabitant, with details about their usual height, weight and life expectancy, as well as information about their natural habitat. The owls currently cared for at the sanctuary include barn owls, a tawny owl, eagle owls, long-eared owls, a snowy owl, and little owls. Entrance is free but donations are very welcome.
