Disused as a railway, but much used as part of the Bristol and Bath cycle path
Saltford road, rail, river and cycle routes
Close together at Saltford are four routes between Bristol and Bath: the canalised River Avon, the A4 historically the Great Road or Bath Road, the main railway from London to the west, and the former freight line of Midland Railway (later LMS), now the Bristol and Bath Railway Path which was the precursor of the Sustrans cycle routes.
