SK5739 : Trains at Nottingham Station

taken 1 year ago, near to Nottingham, Great Britain

Trains at Nottingham Station
Trains at Nottingham Station
On the left, standing at Platform 3a, is a train which had just arrived from Mansfield and would shortly return. Beyond it, at Platform 3b, is an eastbound train. To their right, at Platform 5, is a St Pancras train. On a wet June morning, NET tram passengers are hurrying along the platforms of the Nottingham Station stop on the grey Karlsruhe Friendship Bridge, which carries the tramway over the railway on the alignment of the former Great Central Railway from Nottingham Victoria to London Marylebone.

For comparison, see SK5739 : A wet April evening at Nottingham Midland, taken in April 2013, before the Karlsruhe Friendship Bridge was inched into place the following month.
