Dungeness Station
Dungeness Station
The site of the first station at Dungeness: the terminus of a branch line from Appledore, built by the Lydd Railway Company, opened in 1883, closed to passengers in 1937 and closed entirely in 1953. Visible are the remains of the wooden platform and, approximately in line with the Old Lighthouse, the foundations of the station building.
