The road to Great Dun Fell
The road to Great Dun Fell
The road here is crossing the lower slopes of the hill Flagdaw. It's a bridleway and according to notices not open to the public to motor over - and yet folk do. The route goes way ahead into the hills eventually becoming the highest tarmacked road in England reaching the summit of Great Dun Fell at a height of 848 m.
