A West Coast Railways charter service from Carlisle waits for a signal at Whitehall Junction outside Leeds station.
The Dalesman (charter train)
West Coast Railways operate a summer charter train service between York and Carlisle, called the Dalesman. It is diesel hauled as far as Hellifield (provided with watering facilities for steam locomotives) then steam hauled over the Settle-Carlisle line.
