Great willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum)
Great willowherb is the tallest and largest flowered willowherb found in the UK. It flourishes in damp ground, such as wet grasslands, ditches, riversides and woodland clearings where it can often be seen forming large colonies. It is said to be the 'St. Anthony's Herb' of antiquity. For a wider view of this location see > LinkExternal link.
