Lacock Abbey framed by a gothic arch. Formerly an Augustinian Abbey after the Dissolution of the Monasteries it was sold to Sir William Sharington who converted the abbey into a residence. The house was the home of Henry Fox Talbot and will forever be famous for the invention of photography.
