Entrance to Todholes and windfarms
Entrance to Todholes and windfarms
This is a relatively new entrance road into Todholes, presumably built along with the concrete bridge over the Endrick Water, when the wind farms in the distance were constructed. The original access road and bridge lie about 40 metres to the east, and would not have been suitable for the wind farm construction traffic.
There are actually two wind farms here according to the signs - Earlsburn Wind Farm (15 turbines, constructed in 2006/7) and Kingsburn Wind Farm (9 turbines, constructed in 2015).
