Spurn Lightship
The Spurn Lightship (LV No 12) is a lightvessel currently anchored in Hull Marina. The ship was built in 1927 and served for 48 years as a navigation aid in the approaches of the Humber Estuary, were it was stationed 4 1⁄2 miles east of Spurn Point. The light ship was decommissioned in 1975 and bought/restored by Hull City Council in 1983 before being moved to Hull Marina as a museum in 1987. It is usually open between early April and end September.
Hull Marina (Humber Dock)
The Humber Dock was opened in 1809 and consists of two basins separated by a lock. The dock closed in 1968.
Hull Marina is a marina for pleasure boats situated in the city of Kingston upon Hull. It was opened in 1983 on the site of the former Railway Dock and Humber Docks.
The marina is home to 270 berths and during the summer plays host to the city's Jazz and Sea Shanty Festivals.
The Spurn Lightship is moored in the Marina and acts as a museum.
