Railway bridge across Bournville Lane, Bournville
Railway bridge across Bournville Lane, Bournville
This bridge, along with the one the other side of it that carries the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, has always restricted buses on the route along this road (numbered 27 for most of its history) to single deckers. In the past, these have included Birmingham City Transport's rather odd Marshall bodied single deck Daimler Fleetlines, which were basically double deckers with the upper deck missing (which is basically what they were). The main entrance to Bournville railway station is just out of frame to the right, hence the sign.
