Bridge and farm track near Head House Farm
Bridge and farm track near Head House Farm
There is nothing now to show the legacy of the coal mining industry of the area. The track follows the line of the railway branch that served Mapperley Colliery and which ran on a slight embankment. It now forms a public footpath. The bridge crosses a watercourse which is the successor to the long defunct Nutbrook Canal which was built to serve the Shipley collieries.
