Cairn on heather moorland, Black Moor
Cairn on heather moorland, Black Moor
The name Black Moor refers to an apparently indeterminate area of heather moorland above the head of Scugdale; this location, a relatively insignificant high point, is towards the eastern part of the area. The view beyond the cairn is to the south-east where the tall aerial of the Bilsdale Transmitter can be seen.
