Former Co-operative store, Market Place
Former Co-operative store, Market Place
This is the oldest part of the complex of buildings forming an extensive department store. It dates from the early years of the 20th century and is a fine example of the use of glazed terracotta. Of particular note is the double-height shop front. The store is now occupied by a variety of separate retail business.
