5197 Taking on Water
Ex-United States Army Transportation Corps Class 160 locomotive 5197 takes on water at Kingsley & Froghall Station in preparation for the return journey to Cheddleton and Leek Brook.

No 5197 was built in Ohio, USA, in June 1945. It was exported to China in January, 1946. She spent the majority of her working life in the Chinese Coal Industry around Fushun, before being withdrawn in the 1990s. She was saved from scrap and brought to the Llangollen Railway in North Wales where she was overhauled and returned to traffic in 1998. In 2001, she was moved to the Churnet Valley Railway where she then operated successfully for 3 years. She was withdrawn in December 2009 for a full overhaul, which commenced in the latter half of 2013 and was completed early in 2017 (LinkExternal link Churnet Valley Railway).
