NN8493 : Flood bed, River Feshie

taken 8 years ago, 5 km SSW of Auchlean, Highland, Scotland

Flood bed, River Feshie
Flood bed, River Feshie
The braided river only occupies a little of its bed in normal conditions. In times of spate, the stones are covered as the river spreads across its flood plain. A landform very familiar in mountain and arctic areas but rather special in Scotland.
