TQ9072 : Queenborough: parish church and churchyard

taken 1 year ago, near to Queenborough, Kent, Great Britain

Queenborough: parish church and churchyard
Queenborough: parish church and churchyard
Photo taken on a drizzly July evening.

The south side of the churchyard is a narrow strip of land, quite cramped. The church - built of ragstone (Kentish rag) - is medieval in origin but was extensively refurbished in the 17th century.

The huge monument (with obelisk) marks the vault of the Young Greet family - whose members included an admiral or two.
