Calke Abbey - biomass boiler house
The Natural Trust is quite rightly big on renewables and many sites now have biomass for heating and hot water. This uses wood chips that are stored in a bunker behind. There is a switch to light up the interior and there is an informative display that can be seen through the window along with the plant.
The weather had turned a bit damp and rain is visible in the photograph.
