Church clock and tower, English Bicknor
Church clock and tower, English Bicknor
On the west side of the Norman Church of St Mary the Virgin.
Originally the tower was in the centre of the church.
It was made from soft local sandstone which fell down.
Rather than rebuilding it, the Normans built this new western tower.
