Drake Almhouses in Old Amersham
Drake Almhouses in Old Amersham
Located at 94-104 High Street HP7 0DS, the six almhouses dates from 1657 were donated to the town by Sir William Drake "for the relief of six poor widows of good repute in the parish". However, only three of them are currently occupied, as they needed to be reconstructed to meet today's standards.
