Shellness beach at low-water: view south-west
Looking roughly south-west from the easternmost point on the Isle of Sheppey. On the left, the shore of the Kentish mainland can be seen across the waters of the Swale. The structure on the right is a World War II blockhouse.

Rain had just started to fall on Sheppey, but the clouds over the Downs on the skyline meant there was a lot more on the way.
