The Oval
The Oval
The Oval, currently known as the Kia Oval due to a sponsorship deal with a car manufacturer, has been the home of Surrey County Cricket Club since it opened in 1845 - even though it is situated well outside the modern boundaries of the county of Surrey. In this view, however, it is playing host to the 100th men's test match to be staged at the ground - in this case between England and South Africa. This was the last day and England were well in control - the match memorably concluded with a Moeen Ali hat trick. Although traditionally the last test match of the summer series has been played at the Oval in late August, this was the third of a four match series.
