SE5396 : Bee hives on heather moorland

taken 1 year ago, 4 km from The Grange, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Bee hives on heather moorland
Bee hives on heather moorland
The hives are surrounded by bracken but heather moorland lies beyond. The aim is that the bees will produce heather-honey from the heather which is just coming into flower. Bees can be seen as small dots against the sky.
The aerial in the distance is at the Bilsdale transmitter.
