SD8796 : Buttertubs Pothole

taken 7 years ago, 3 km from Thwaite, North Yorkshire, England

Buttertubs Pothole
Buttertubs Pothole
One of the dramatic limestone potholes located beside Buttertubs Pass Road which range from 20ft to 80ft in depth - this one with a waterfall.
The closeness to the road however, comes with its own problems. The dumping of rubbish and fly tipping into the potholes has become a regular occurrence.
