Buttertubs Pass
Buttertubs Pass
High road that connects Hawes in Wensleydale to Thwaite in Swaledale, which takes its name from pot holes situated behind the stone wall on the left.
It featured as one of the major challenges in the first stage of the 2014 Tour de France, and cyclists are still a common sight grinding their way up the inclines.
