Passing trains at Romney Sands station
Passing trains at Romney Sands station
Looking towards Hythe from a Down train, with an Up train on the other side of the platform. The section of the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway between New Romney and Dungeness was singled after the Second World War; this passing loop, the only one between New Romney and Dungeness, was installed in the 1970s, and enables trains to run every 45 minutes.
