Burial Cist in Dunrobin Park, Sutherland
Burial Cist in Dunrobin Park, Sutherland
This small chamber in woodland near Dunrobin Castle is an old burial cist. A human skeleton and other artefacts were discovered inside it when it was exposed during gravel digging in 1880. The cist section now remains permanently open in the wall of the old gravel pit. Further information is given on 'Canmore' (LinkExternal link )
