This building, at the north-eastern corner of the site, has its long axis oriented WSW—ENE, and stalls spaced at regular intervals along its longer side walls; those side walls are partly intact.

The building shown in NS3074 : The ruins of Knocknairshill Farm is a few metres to the south-west; it is superficially similar, with stalls arranged in the same manner along its longer side walls, but it is oriented at right-angles to the building shown in the present picture. Also, its outer walls have not survived to the same height.
Ruins of Knocknairshill Farm

"A dwelling house and outhouses having a farm of land attached. Occupied by Alex. Scott. The property of Sir Michael Shaw Stewart" – OS Name Books (1857). Roy's Military Survey (1740s-50s) shows "Knocknairshill", other farms in the area ("Bogstoun", "Fifestoun", "Chapletoon", "Gibshill") and the nearby "Devils Glen" (present-day Devol Glen). In the same area, John Ainslie's 1796 map of Renfrew shows the farms "Knocknair", "Gibbshill", "Lurg", and "Chapleton", and "Divels Glen". "Knocknairhill" or "Knocknearshill" is found in a 1716 listing of farms in Easter Greenock.
