SE8598 : Across the moor towards Fen Bogs

taken 1 year ago, 4 km from Goathland, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Across the moor towards Fen Bogs
Across the moor towards Fen Bogs
The view south across heather moorland towards the flat, pale green area of Fen Bogs which marks the ill drained watershed between the streams running north towards the Esk and those heading south down the deep valley of Newtondale towards Pickering. The NYMR line can be seen crossing the boggy area, whilst the darker greens on the hillsides mark areas of bracken.
