St Paul's Church Tower, Colwyn Bay
St Paul's Church Tower, Colwyn Bay
Colwyn Bay was a product of the Victorian age when it developed as a seaside resort. Consequently there is no ancient church here and the first church on this site was a mission chapel built in 1872. Work on the present church began in 1887 but the tower was not completed until 1911. Colwyn Bay did not become a separate parish until 1893. Pleasingly, the clock is showing the correct time.
