Douglas Arms Hotel, Bethesda
Douglas Arms Hotel, Bethesda
This former coaching inn was built around 1820 to serve coaches on the London - Holyhead road, later to become the A5. The sign has the arms of the Douglas family, a member of which became Baron Penrhyn after he married the co-heiress of the Penrhyn Estate in 1833.
