Belper: crossing the Derwent
Belper: crossing the Derwent
A train bound for Matlock crosses the River Derwent north of Belper Riverside Gardens on a wet August morning. This was once the Midland main line to Manchester, but since the late 1960s the line north from Ambergate has been only a branch line to Matlock.
