Hob Moor
Hob Moor
An ancient common, used for grazing since the middle ages with records going back to at least 1374. It is now a local nature reserve.

The gate in the background is where a path leaves the main moor, goes under the East Coast railway and then on to Little Hob Moor. For close up see SE5850 : Gate off Hob Moor.
