SJ3493 : Bankhall Street canal bridge parapet

taken 1 year ago, 3 km from Bootle, Sefton, Great Britain

Bankhall Street canal bridge parapet
Bankhall Street canal bridge parapet
Part of the parapet of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal bridge in Bankhall Street. The modern bricks suggest that there was once access to the canal towpath here, but the only access now is via a modern spiral staircase on the other side of the street. There is an Ordnance Survey bench mark on the stonework on the right - SJ3493 : Bench mark on Bankhall Street canal bridge
