SO3374 : Path in a gully, Bucknell

taken 1 year ago, near to Bucknell, Shropshire, Great Britain

Path in a gully, Bucknell
Path in a gully, Bucknell
The path is not shown at 1:25,000 by the Ordnance Survey but is waymarked. The nearby railway has become a focus for walks between stations and there are several very enjoyable options between Bucknell and Knighton (or Knucklas) stations. Some waymarks feature Knucklas viaduct.

The gully is used by downhill mountainbikers and their tracks cross the path frequently. Visibility is good.

The light starved oak is a hint of what is to come up the hill. Further up the woodland becomes mixed with a lot of oak trees.
