Clwyd Bank
Clwyd Bank
Not a bank but a school.
A 17th century timber-framed building.
Joseph David Jones (1827-1870) schoolmaster and composer, established a private school here as the Clwyd Bank Academy. According to the plaque on the wall, he made a notable contribution to singing in harmony which is a characteristic feature of Welsh hymn singing.
A Grade II* listed building.
