4 Angel Hill and 31-32 Abbeygate Street, Bury Saint Edmunds
No.4 is Grade II Listed building with 16th century core. The shop fronts are 20th century. I don't know if he was trading from here but Thomas Cautley Newby book and print seller, stationer, proprietor of circulating library is listed in Angel hill from 1824 and at No.4 from 1830 to 1841 when he sold the business and moved to London publishing Emily Brontė's Wuthering Heights and Anne Brontė's Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. He also published Anthony Trollope's first novel. Only the east end of the Grade II* 31-32 is visible.
