Mediaeval Cart Tracks
The parallel grooves on the rocky shore at Whiting Ness are said to be the tracks made by carts carrying sandstone to build Arbroath Abbey in the 12th Century. Beyond the tracks are the remains of what may have been a jetty across the rocks.
