Until its closure the former Bristol General Hospital (a.k.a. BGH or Bristol General) was a rehabilitation hospital. It opened in 1832 and closed in 2012. Since its closure it has been developed to form a collection of 205 homes and some commercial units, many of which overlook Bathurst Basin.
