Bathurst Basin, Bristol
Bathurst Basin, Bristol
A plaque on the wall of this house indicates that for 462 years, between 1373-1835, this spot was part of the boundary between Gloucestershire and Somerset. During this time Trin Mill pond (a.k.a. Treen Mill pond, Trimm Mill pond and/or Trim Mill pond) existed in Gloucestershire beneath an area that is now covered by Bathurst Basin, whilst Shepherd's Close (that belonged to St Augustine's Priory) was in Somerset.
