A reconstructed bottle kiln
A reconstructed bottle kiln
Worcester is famous for its porcelain manufacturing it is rather surprising that no kilns survive other than this partially reconstructed kiln on a shopping centre on a former industrial site at Lowesmoor. This kiln was sited on the Grainger Works which was taken over by Royal Worcester in 1889. Grainger's had been on the site since around 1808.
