SK4480 : Railway crossing River Rother

taken 19 years ago, near to Killamarsh, Derbyshire, England

Railway crossing River Rother
Railway crossing River Rother
In the bottom south-west corner of SK4480, the (used) railway that departs the main line at Woodhouse Mill junction and runs through Beighton and off towards Barrow Hill crosses the River Rother in quite a picturesque setting. Occasionally, passenger trains (Voyagers, HST sets etc) can be seen on this line as engineering work elsewhere causes diversions.
