The Lady Linn
The Lady Linn
The 1:25000 map marks "waterfalls" here, of which this is one; the other is shown in NS4482 : Waterfall on the Gallangad Burn.

The Lady Linn, shown in the present picture, is described as follows in the OS Name Books (1860): "A waterfall in Gallangad Glen about 5 feet high curved across Gallangad Burn".

It is a short distance downstream from a NS4482 : Footbridge over the Gallangad Burn.

Immediately downstream from the waterfall, the embankment on the northern side of the burn has been modified, probably in the nineteenth century: NS4482 : Old embankment beside the Gallangad Burn. Just downstream from there, the channel is natural: NS4482 : The Gallangad Burn.
