Hooden Horses at the Clock Tower
Hooden Horses at the Clock Tower
The Hooden Horse is a traditional figure in the Mummers plays and Morris dances from this area.
This picture is during Broadstairs Folk Week, and the horses are out and about at the various events.
They never speak, but will interact with whatever is going on which can be amusing. Watching someone trying to pretend nothing is happening when there's a Hooden Horse dancing around them is all part of the fun.
